21.5in Widescreen Display - Under £100!
A few years ago we were impressed to see 19in LCD monitors included with desktop computers rather than 17in models - but how time flies. Since then widescreen displays have become the norm rather than the older, squarer variety, and 21 or 22in displays are the desirable size for a home computer. And if you're thinking of replacing an old, square PC monitor, we've found a great one at a bargain price.
Acer's V223HQ is a 21.5in widescreen display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels - that means it can display 1080P high definition video. It has a VGA connector, so it'll hook up to just about any desktop or laptop computer - if your PC has a DVI connector instead adapters can be purchased for a pound or two.

Note that there are no DVI or HDMI inputs on this monitor, but then it does cost just £99 - a great price for a big widescreen display. It doesn't support HDCP, but currently available Blu-ray discs allow HD video to be viewed over VGA.

Bought this monitor from PC World a few weeks ago for £150. Excellent monitor for that price, even better for £99! Buttons a bit fiddly to use but overall quality excellent
