When Apple launched the iPod Touch it advertised it as "the funnest iPod ever". While we can't possibly condone such an abuse of the English language, we do have to concede that it is, at the very least, great fun. The Touch is, essentially, an iPhone without the phone: you get the same touch screen controls, the same ability to add new programs via the App store, the same Safari web browser and a wireless connection so you can surf the web whenever you're in range of a hotspot.

So, what's the downside? Well, packing all this technology into the Touch made it significantly more expensive than the other iPod models, and the basic 8GB model doesn't give you that much room for music and movies.
